Be Ready 05:21
Be Ready By Taras Lumiere As a young child I had strong feelings Till I was wild with fear and desire Then I saw your star shine, heard your river Cooling my senses, cooling the fire Got to be ready…I know you’ve been waiting for me As a young boy I couldn’t stop thinking and talking Till I was slave to my littlest lie Then I saw your mountain, heard your thunder Shaking the truth out till I knew I could fly Got to be ready…I know you’ve been waiting for me Heard your river (said you’ve been waiting for me) Heard your thunder (said you’ve been waiting for me) And I wanna go! I wanna go! Your sun upon my path, everyday I feel you now Your song (sound) bringing me home – everyday I hear it now And in the eyes of my sister and brother – I see you now And I’m gone…yes I’m gone! And as a grown man I keep on trying and reaching I get weighted down when I grasp and hold Then I see your daybreak, hear your wind blow Taking me over…. stopping the world! Yes I’m ready. You’re walking with me. It’s true. Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ to my left and to my right Christ above me and below me and within and we’re walking in the Light Christ above me and below me and within and we’re walking in the Light

I Welcomed the Child (updated) By Taras Lumiere I welcomed the child but I did not speak a word I did not speak a work……. I welcomed the child but I did not speak a word Mmmmmmmm…I’m just watching… I caught the child’s eyes and I could not look away Nothing yet to say, but I could not look away I caught the child’s eyes and I could not look away Mesmerized…and recognized… Oh my soul go on, go further on Go on beyond all doubt and beyond all belief Oh my soul go on, go further on And come into the body from head through the feet Oh my soul, oh my soul The child hummed a tune so pretty and so pure Softly like a purr, I moved closer to hear The child hummed a tune so pretty and so pure Mmmmmm…we’re together… humming and singing… Oh my soul go on, go further on Go on beyond all doubt and beyond all belief Oh my soul go on, go further on And come into the body from head through the feet Oh my soul, oh my soul Then we shared a smile and it filled my heart with cheer Felt like Christmas in here, so bright and full in here Then we shared a smile and it filled my heart with cheer Mmmmm… I’m beaming …and we’re singing… Oh my soul go on, go further on Go on beyond all doubt and beyond all belief Oh my soul go on, go further on And come into the body from head through the feet Oh my soul, oh my soul Oh my soul…go on, go on beyond… go on, go on beyond…

Calling Out Humbly (updated lyrics) By Taras Lumiere If I were a forest I’d stand tall to breathe Let Life flow. There’s nowhere to go. Reaching up and down to receive... If I were a blue lake I’d know how to rest Let ducks play and fish have their way Reflecting the world being blessed But I am just the One who forgot What I am and what I am not So I’m calling out “Where is my soul?” Calling out humbly to my soul, smiling on me Calling out humbly to my soul, smiling in me Calling out “Let it grow, let it grow”. If I were a wild bird I would kiss the sky All around I soar so that I can see more With my ever quick and keen eye... If I were a young deer oh I’d know how to run Swift and strong right where I belong Under the heavens, moon, and sun... But I am just the One who forgot What I am and what I am not So I’m calling out “Where is my soul?” Calling out humbly to my soul, smiling on me Calling out humbly to my soul, smiling in me Calling out “Let it grow, let it grow”. If I were a baby born from a twinkle in love’s eye Into a family, getting all I need Like Nature unfolding in time Then I would grow up to become a man Just the One that I am Remembering again, again and again, And calling out to my soul Calling out humbly to my soul, smiling on me Calling out humbly to my soul, smiling in me Calling out “Let it grow, let it grow”.

Got No Place Else to Go (updated) By Taras Lumiere If I think I hear angels crying for the suffering I had It just might be a devil trying to go messing with my head And if I hear a crowd of voices clamoring in my mind Then it’s time to go inside, listen, be still and unwind And I will look into the Light even if my eyes are sore And I will sing your name so strong till I can speak no more Where is my sweet Jesus can you smile away my sin? Call the angels to come rock me and the Beloved to pull me in Make this Earth so small and simple I can watch it disappear And these laws of mass and gravity - they have no power here, no power here Put away the day yes and leave it in this chair The muscle aches, the itchy face, the grasping of air Lord, I've got no place else to go - you gotta take me It’s all pushing in on me and - got no place else to go I told the kids to keep it down, don’t bother me at all A little snack, a little sip, one final nature call I pulled the curtains, shut the door, turned off that phone Told the world, told everyone, to just leave me alone (got no place else to go...no place...) So let’s see your flying horses riding across the sky Let me see the fiery chariot take Ezekiel on high Let me go up with the Traveler as my friend and guide That voice above and through me and on each and every side Lord, I've got no place else to go - you gotta take me It’s all been pushing in on me and - got no place else to go Let’s climb on Jacob’s ladder with a star on every rung Ah the heavens are a-glistening, brighter than a million suns Let’s fly but hold on to me softly like a baby safe in your arms Let the music flow on through me so fine and so warm So fine and so warm... so fine and so warm So fine and so warm...

Midnight Train By Taras Lumiere This is the fastest train that I’ve seen Runs like lightning more than machine. Won’t take gas, it won’t need fire ‘Cause it runs on the power of Love reaching higher I’m getting on that midnight train, yeah that Midnight train. Sit back and relax and listen to the Sound Of wind and stars rushing all around Close your eyes and you might see All the fields of wonder through infinity I’m getting on that midnight train, You might not ever see me again I’m getting on that midnight train, Yeah the Midnight train I know we’ve got a good engineer (He’s) been driving this train for a billion years Got his eyes set on that track And says “Just keep going, don’t you ever look back” ...Woo woo...On that train... I’m getting on that midnight train, yeah the Midnight train

Timeless (in the Desert) By Taras Lumiere Midday and mid nowhere. Off the road and in the clear Standing on the highest ground. With eyes towards the farthest sound Brown and yellow colors dry While kneeling to an endless sky As cacti and desert bush Take my hand and beg me hush Time from timeless cannot be told In lines of hills so strong and bold The smell of earth so old A traveler feels at home A traveler feels at home And thirst will lead him to the edge To choose a life that drives the wedge Through each form and in between To take a path not plainly seen A pause to feel the breeze That echoes of the bygone trees And whispers of salty seas Or maybe this is yet to be? Time from timeless cannot be told In lines of hills so strong and bold The smell of earth so old A traveler feels at home A traveler feels at home

Grace 04:30
GRACE (by T Lumiere) He was born a delicate child, his Moma’s boy He spent more time watching the world than playing with toys And all he wanted was one best friend and a safe familiar place Though we became strangers that’s when I first heard something about Grace And the nuns taught him about God and His only Son He said show me a picture of Jesus where he laughs or has fun He took his books, took his songs to where no one knew his face Searching the highways and byways looking for Grace Ahhhh, ahhhhhh...mmmmm Lessons in life and all ways in Grace He met good folks at PRANA who would wanna bring new songs to play He dreamed that BARAKA could rock a town as grand as L.A. But when it ended he was afraid that the hard work had gone to waste And I said “No expectations, try patience, and ask for some Grace” Ahhhh, ahhhhhh...mmmmm Lessons in life and all ways in Grace If he kicks or whines or forgets, I don’t get on his case The child and the man standing together and Living in Grace. Ahhhh, ahhhhhh...mmmmm Lessons in life and all ways in Grace

The Last Sad Song (updated) By Taras Lumiere I was driving one day with the radio on. Someone was playing a sad and beautiful song I knew I wanted it to break my heart and leave the pieces all strewn apart It’s funny how I listen for the pain Like when the singer keeps moaning that old refrain: He says: “The door is closed and no one cares”. We’re sharing in a sweet despair Lord, Lord, Lord… Why do I keep longing for you?...as if there’s nothing better to do? Thinking more about what I miss instead of being in your bliss, Your tenderness. So here I am…I keep….. Standing at the door…I’m knocking, knocking I’m inside, up and outside – I’m moving, moving And looking round I see, there’s no door any more. No door, only me… They say there’s times it’s OK to cry But it can happen so fast that you can’t say why When it’s coming through, just breathe and flow. The mind can wait cuz the feeling knows I love so much - I feel hurt. Like when my woman leaves town to go find work But she’s comin’ home and she told me tonight “This is the last sad song you’ll ever need to write” Lord, Lord, Lord… There are so many colors in you, so why would I always choose these blues? Remembering all the things I miss, instead of being in your bliss Your tenderness. So here I am…coming to you Going up again – I’m listening, I’m listening Calling to love – it’s here, there, everywhere Inside, up and outside, we’re moving, moving… And I’m where I want to be – Living…I’m living in Love CHANT at the end, repeat and fade: I am...the One...who lives..in Love I am...the One...who lives..in Love

Song From the Runes (Winds of Heaven) By Taras Lumiere I left a woman, she left a man To look past a promise, to untie our hands Sweep clear the table, change all our plans As the Winds of Heaven Dance Between Us Through all my wanderings I’ve never been so blessed To find such a woman of joy beyond rest Gardens of laughter, streams of Love and more… As the Winds of Heaven Dance Between Us Across the table – a feast and surprise I see the Beloved appear in her eyes And as we come closer the room fills with skies And the Winds of Heaven Dance Between Us The Winds of Heaven Dance Between Us

Walking Tall 04:54
Walking Tall - updated By Taras Lumiere We started out as strangers till the days turned to years Traveling so far had brought us all so near I knew the sun and moon like the life within my hands And felt that everywhere we stood was sacred land, holy land Well at first my feet were soft from the city streets and leather shoes And I'd given away so much I thought I had little left to lose But the hardness in my heart hurt more than rocky ground And I cried and prayed till the darkness in me filled with the Sound, the Light and Sound Walking tall – looking up! Such a sight to see Such a sight! Looking around – What a world this can be, what a world this can be! Ah, the tenderness of friendship when we share our wants and needs And the face begins to open like a flower from a seed And how the steps go dancing when the mind is on the High – And how easily the clouds roll…across this endless sky, across my eyes Walking tall – looking up! Such a sight to see Such a sight! Looking around – What a world this can be, what a world this can be! We listened to the ones we met, helped wherever we could Talked about the simple things until I understood And with the work behind me, when the harvest is complete I pack my bags and say goodbye, and get back on my feet, back on the street Walking tall – looking up! What a sight to see Such a sight! Looking around – It’s just my God and me, it’s all just God and me!
